My 16 year old son is a full time high school student and gets a part time job where he was a 1099 employee. Is there a turbo tax software he can use?

Employees get W2s.
Independent contractors/self employed people get 1099s.

He can use TurboTax software, he needs to create his own TurboTax User ID and password, then start for free and it will prompt to upgrade once the 1099MISC information gets entered.

Hi thank you!  He and his friends worked there and they considered them independent contractors

You might be able to use the Free File (formally called Freedom Edition) for incomes under $33,000 and supports all states and most forms.

The Free File is part of the IRS Free File alliance and is totally separate from TurboTax website.
