Temporary Work Assigment travel

My husband worked a temporary work assignment (8 months) in another state. He drove there every week and returned on the weekends. I used form 2106 to calculate the standard mileage for his travel. But the amount calculated for the travel is not showing up on Schedule 1 or the the 1040. Am I missing a step? Is there something else I need to do for Turbo Tax to calculate the adjustment to income?

Is your spouse a W-2 employee? If he is a W-2 employee then job-related expenses are not deductible on your federal return. Your state tax laws may be different.
