Technical error during Extension submission

My got logged out in the middle of submission of tax extension and received my confirmation email and the site went back to the extension starting screen. However when I retry to file and extension, I get a rejection with “ R0000-902-01 - Taxpayer TIN in the Return Header must not be the same as a TIN of a previously accepted electronic return for the return type and tax period indicated in the tax return.’ IRS website also says the extension was filed but I can’t check if this was processed correctly and also if payment that I tried to make has been made. How do I check the extension status?
