I got a email about my taxes being voided because the envelope expired. I already got the federal taxes back over a month ago but never got state.

Email from who? Neither the IRS or state would know your email address. Sounds like a scam.

You didn't say who the email is purportedly from or "appears" to be from. If it's not legit, the sender can be spoofed to make it look real. Do not reply, and do NOT click on any links in the email, and do NOT download any attachments. If it is allegedly from your state DOR, you should phone the state DOR and ask them if the email you received is legitimate and have them further explain it. I'll tell you how to contact them below.
There are also phony scams in emails that claim to be from the "IRS" and can even have realistic-looking logos. The IRS website says:
"The IRS does not send unsolicited e-mails to taxpayers about their tax accounts. Anyone who receives an unsolicited email claiming to come from the IRS should avoid opening any attachments or clicking on any links. "
If you received an unsolicited email allegedly from the IRS, see the following IRS page of related FAQs which also has a link where you can forward such email (including full headers) to IRS security.

I don't even know what "taxes being voided" and "envelope expired" mean anyway. Odd terminology can sometimes be a red flag in email scams.
"I already got the federal taxes back over a month ago but never got state."
How was the state return filed--on paper by mail, or efiled?
If you efiled, be sure your efiled state return was accepted. If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by looking at the Tax Home in your Online account.
Or did you choose to file by mail instead? TurboTax does not mail it for you. If you chose that method, you have to print, sign, date, and mail it.
The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund and has a link for your state.
