Taxes on moving funds out of the US

I am German. I moved to the US last year. If I move back to Europe in 5 years are there tax implications I should be aware of for moving large amount of funds? If I send large sums of money back to Germany, are there taxes coming up somewhere? If I transfer all my stocks to a European broker, I should not need to pay any taxes on those is that correct?

Taxes on moving funds out of the US

Moving funds and selling funds are different things. Sending money is not a taxable issue. Transfer of stock can often mean the sale of the stock to move to a different broker. Sale of stock would have tax implications. Be cautious when you reach this point.
