Tax Year Prior to 2020: I received a W2 that is not mine, but under my SS #. What should I do?

You need to contact the Payer/Employer of that W-2 and inform them of the error.  Hopefully, it was just typo and an honest mistake.  However, if they also had your address on the form W-2, you may need to take additional steps to protect your identity. (see below).
