I have a question. So when I chose to get direct deposit it said it was going into my savings account but the thing is I don’t have anymore. It has been deactivated. Will my tax return go to my checking a account ? I put the same account number and routing number.

Your return will go into whichever routing number and account number you provided on your tax return.

If the account is closed or deactivated when the IRS tries to deposit your refund, you will be issued a paper check by mail.
