Tax planning for next year

On 1040 Fed form line 4a is locked and I can't override it. In the past I've been able to simulate the IRA withdrawals to see net tax effect. Is there a reason that the override does not work?

Please clarify. Are you using TurboTax Online or TurboTax CD\Download (Desktop)?
