Switch from Home & Business (download) last year to Deluxe (download) next year?

I no longer need Home & Business after tax year 2023. If I download Deluxe instead in early 2024, can Deluxe read my previous Home & Business file OK? Thanks! - Doug

Yes!  No problem.  And FYI - you could have been using Deluxe all the time.  All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.

How can I do the same downgrade from home and business to deluxe? I can’t figure out how to do it on the website.

@drdively   You just buy the Deluxe program.  2025 has not come out  yet.  Are you on the Advantage Auto renew plan?  It may be too late to change your version.  Or are you asking about downgrading 2024 to Deluxe?  Don't think you can do that.

Using Deluxe is the same as Home & Business.  You just buy and install Deluxe.  You  transfer from 2024 into 2025 the same way that you transferred  2023 into 2024.  You will need to have the tax data file ending in .tax2024 from Home&Business to transfer into 2025.
