I've finished my taxes on the web, after ordering a Premier license (download) from Costco, and support is telling me they're unable (unwilling) to convert my license so I can complete filing online. I've had no issues in the past with getting DVD licenses converted to digital downloads, so it's mind-boggling why they won't help me here--some analogy related to ignorant/apathetic left and right hands seems applicable.
Has anyone been able to do this kind of swap successfully before? I know Intuit doesn't care if they lose me as a customer, but I'm not going to pay good money for terrible support.

Those are two different platforms with different pricing structures. If you want to switch from using online to desktop they will let you do that, but you cannot pay for online TurboTax using the license code that came with a purchase of desktop software. If you want to use online you have to pay for it. Or do you mean you just want a different download--Windows instead of Mac? Please explain more clearly what you are trying to do.
Correct, I'm wanting to transfer the license for desktop to online. Thanks for the info; it sounds like this is indeed something they won't do.
If you would like to switch to TurboTax Online, please see this help article: How do I switch from TurboTax CD/Download to TurboTax Online?
If you switch to TurboTax Online, you can request a refund for your TurboTax Desktop product by following the steps in this help article: How do I request a refund for my TurboTax product?
