Step-by-Step mode is not working for me

I receive the following message with TurboTax Premier Desktop: "We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct.". This message pops up on all of the interview mode topics. I can enter information directly on the forms, but I cannot use the Step-by-Step menus. I have been skipping around and  entering information out of the normal sequence (e.g. I am going back and forth between "Wages and Income" and "Deductions and Credits". I would like to get Step-by-Step working.

Step-by-Step mode is not working for me

We are unable to reproduce this experience in TurboTax Premier Desktop. Please open your return and click Online in the top menu (black bar). Then choose Check for Updates. This will force TurboTax to install any recently released updates. Restart TurboTax, open your return, and check if Step-by-Step is working now.

 

If this doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to reinstall TurboTax from your downloaded installation file. Then run updates again.
