state taxes will not transfer

in turbotax federal form I entered $953.64 state taxes withheld on my 1099R. I'm not getting them transferred to my state return. I can find no way to get credit for these taxes I paid and withheld ON STATE TAX!!! please help

 I DID PUT MICHIGAN IN BOX !% ON MY 1099R

It is always best to complete the federal before the state so everything can transfer over at one time. If this one is not showing, please delete the current state return and add again, so it can pull fresh data from the federal return. 

If this is TurboTax Online

1. Go to the States section and click on the trashcan icon
2. Confirm Delete
3. Select Add another state button

In TurboTax Desktop

1. Return to the federal portion of the return and on the menu bar select File
2. Then click on Remove State Return
3. Select the Remove button
4. Select Yes
5. Then return to the State section and add the state return again. 
   
   You can check the state summary to see if it has transferred.
   To view a Tax Summary, click on Tax Tools, on the left menu

• Select Tools 
• Then select View Tax Summary, first on the list under Helpful Links.  This will show basic information about the return.
• At the top it will list Tax Summary for federal or the name of the state, if it is a state Tax Summary
• On the left you can select the summary for the state you wish to verify the amount of tax paid

The example below is for Virginia but all of the states have the same format.
