State tax

I'm a disabled veteran and my only income is Veterans disability. I know I do not need to file taxes on that. But last year I won a 600 prize in West Virginia and received a 1099 misc with the amount in box 3. I've already confirmed on another post that I'm not required to file  federal taxes because the amount is less than the standard deduction. My question now is do I need to file taxes in my state which is Virginia or in the state where I won the prize which is West Virginia??

You do not need to file with Virginia since the money did not come from Virginia.

You do not need to file with West Virginia since the amount you won is less than $2,000, which is the personal exemption amount for West Virginia.
