State tax return question

I filed federal, NY state, and NYC by mail. But forgot to start my NJ state return. How do I add my NJ return?

You can add another state after you file your federal, even if you already mailed other state returns.  Follow the steps below to add your New Jersey (NJ) return.

Add another state by using the steps below.

1. Sign into your TurboTax Return > Select State Taxes (left menu) > Select Prepare State
2. Click on 'Let's get started' > Click 'Add another State' > Select NJ > Continue to complete your state return

I logged in to my business taxes and the only item on the left menu is: Tax Home. There are no other options to choose

When you click on Tax Home on the left hand side, does your 2023 tax return information appear? If so, click the blue button that says Amend using TurboTax Online. 

How do I amend my state tax return? 

Please also keep in mind that if you are adding another state tax return, you may have to amend New York as well if you are getting a credit of taxes paid to another state (NJ).
