Hi, I'm an expat working for a foreign company and as such do not have a W2. When I file my federal taxes, I don't upload or indicate a W2 is available which is fine, I manually enter in the needed information.
However, this year I have to file NY state taxes and on the state return, it showed there is a W2. I can't over-ride in form mode or via the guided form data entry, it keeps showing a W2 with my company's information. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to update the form to show that there is no W2?
Thanks for your help in advance.

It depends. To clarify, how did you report this information? Also what type of income is this that you had to report?
Thanks DaveF1006 for responding.

Hi community,
Wanted to bump this up and see if anyone has any advice on this as I want to make the necessary adjustments and submit. Thanks in advance for any help.
If using the online version, go to tax forms>forms>delete a form>look for the W2 forms listed. If you see any delete them. If using the software, go to the forms mode, look for the W2, select it and delete it from the bottom of the form.
