State Download Error

I am getting a “hmm.. looks like we have hit a snag… try later” error for past 2 weeks while trying to download another state for 2024 Premier Windows edition.  Called customer support and 45 mins later no solution and disconnected (worst support model). We have uninstalled and installed TT, run it as administrator and cleaned all cookies.  Dead end. It all started after TT pushed an update.  Anyone else has a solution ? I am disappointed in support and their QA over last few years. Thanks

Have you clicked on Online at the top and Download State?  If so, how far do you get before you receive the error?

What state are you trying to download?  Here's a list of State Form Availability.

I have desktop premier.  I am trying to add/buy a new state (NJ) and the moment I click continue it gives an error.  Even before payment info can be entered.

Are you using a VPN? If so, can you try without the VPN; and if you are not using a VPN, can you try with a VPN?

Same issue - obviously a program bug which keeping returns from being completed. Bad form, TurboTax!

I have the same error in Business trying to get my Massachusetts return.  Very frustrating!  Have tried all the troubleshooting steps and it is the same.  The amount of time I have wasted on this is ridiculous.

TT need to address this in a meaningful way immediately.

The 'hit a snag' error is usually a connectivity issue.  When adding a state, you're going to a Billing server to process payment.  Things to try:

Spent two hours with customer support today trying to download 2020 PA for them to just tell me that you are not able to download states older than 2 years. This seems completely bogus as I have downloaded older states for decades. Then they directed me to the state website and a paper return. WTF.

Is any of this true? I have just used a customer service provided link for years.
