Social Security Retirement Check

Hi

I work full time but I started to receive Social Security Retirement Check in December 2020  Where do I put that on my tax form 1040 to include it with my 2020 tax.  Also never received a 1099 from SSI  Thank you

Understand that if you are receiving Social Security that is not "SSI"    ----   there is a lot of confusion and use of the wrong term to refer to Social Security benefits.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS AND SSI?

If you are receiving Social Security benefits you should have a SSA1099.

There is a way to go on the Social Security website and request one.  Go to www.ssa.gov  You have to create an account with a user name and password.

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

Sorry for the confusion - I got the retirement check for only one month as I was able to get it when I turned 65   I went to my social security account and there is no 1099 under the documents.  So if I work full time and only got one month of retirement check   do I claim it on my taxes.  Again no 1099 on website   Thank you  so much
