Hello,
My wife and I are both US citizens, but she lived abroad in 2021 with no income. How should we handle our taxes for 2021?
Last year we used TurboTax to file married separately.
Should we file separately or jointly for this year where she had no income and lived abroad?
Thank you!

You should file jointly, even though your wife had no income. If she is a U.S. citizen, it doesn't matter that she lived abroad.
You can always file a joint return no matter where either of you live or who earns any income ... neither will stop you from filing a joint return.
Thank you very much!
