My son has a not for work ss number. He is a non resident living in usa. Can i put him as a dependant? I only see citizen, legal resident, or no citizen options. So i guess he can be a dependant this tax year?

He is a legal resident and you can list him as a dependent, but his not-for-work SSN will only qualify him for a $500 dependent credit, not the $2000 child tax credit.
