Someone claimed me without my permission

 I was incarcerated from 2015 to 2021. I did not file a return, and I did not receive any stimulus money. My father claimed me for those years without my permission and because of some mistakes made on his part I now owe the i.r.s. money. How can I fix this problem

Your father should never have claimed you, because one of the conditions for claiming a dependent relative is that you had to live with him for the whole year.  I don't think that condition was met.

• The only reason that I can think of for you to owe back taxes is that if you had income reported while incarcerated that didn't get reported, 
• or your father owes back taxes, and it falls on you to pay them.
• The first seems the most likely.  
• I suggest you contact the IRS. 
  • If your case is under review, there will be a phone number in the top right corner.  Call that number and provide them with the case number.
  • Otherwise, you can call toll-free at 1-800-829-1040 or contact a Taxpayer Assistance Center Local IRS Office.
• Explain your situation and ask their advice.
• You may have to file taxes for all of that time.

If you didn't file a tax return, the only way you could owe taxes for the year or years applicable is if there was income that was assigned to you and was reported to the IRS. If so, you can prepare a return for those years to determine if you owe any taxes. If not, then you can submit the returns as proof that you don't owe any taxes and request that the taxes assessed you be abated.
