Sold Stock

I sold stock in 2019. What is the proper documentation I should have received from the Brokerage Firm?

Thank you.

Sold Stock

You should have received a Form 1099-B reporting the stock sales.  Since the stock was held at a brokerage firm, you probably received a 'consolidated 1099' that would include Form 1099-B transactions along with sections for Form 1099-DIV and/or Form 1099-INT.

This should have been provided to you by the January 31, 2020 deadline.  Contact the brokerage if you did not receive it or check your online brokerage account for tax documents.
