Solar energy credit

Hi, I Paid my solar in 2023 in California. I wonder whether I still have any home energy credit carryforward. I did some research that I just need to check last year's return and see if there's an amount on Form 5695, line 16. Is that correct?

Yes. Form 5695 line 16 from a prior year will carry to 5695 line 12 on your 2025 filing. Any remaining credit will again end up on line 16 for next year.
