I have 2 W-2 forms for 2021, as I switched legal entities within my employer. I over-funded Social Security by over $6,000. Shouldn't I see some refund or amount noted within my filing for that amount?

Yes, you should receive credit for the over-funded amount. TurboTax will automatically calculate this based on the information entered in your W-2s. The amount of credit you will receive for the over-funded social security can be found on Form Schedule 3, Line 11 "Excess social security and tier 1 RRTA tax withheld". The total for Schedule 3 is then entered on Line 31 of the 1040.
