Which payment are you referring to?

Any estimated tax payment you made in 2023 have to be entered on your 2023 tax return.

Or did you select on the 2022 tax return to apply the 2022 federal tax refund to the 2023 taxes?

I initiated an estimated tax for 2023 when I did my 2022 taxes.  It is showing up in the 2022 program...but it is not showing up as a tax payment in my 2023 program...

If the 2022 program is able to bring over to 2023 the tax refund from prior year I assume the estimated payment would transfer to the 2023 return...

I didn't think I would need to remember and have to enter it myself...

If you paid the 2023 estimated taxes using an IRS Form 1040-ES for tax year 2023 and mailed the form to the IRS or made a 2023 estimated tax payment on the IRS payment website - https://www.irs.gov/payments

You will need to enter those payment manually in the 2023 program.
