Can I efile with an overridden field?

No, you are unable to e-file your return if it is found to contain an override in your return.

The TurboTax CD/Download software lets you override, or replace, the amounts it calculates. Because overriding can only be done in Forms Mode, you won't be able to do this in TurboTax Online.

When you run the final review, TurboTax will let you know if there are any overridden values in your return. If there are, you'll get an error message if you try to e-file your return.

Can I efile with an overridden field?

Based in the information given to me in my previous inquiry (referenced above), it seems that Turbo Tax does not properly handle the self employed insurance deduction when AGI is "on the edge" of a subsidy.  Can you review my previous question and advise me if there is a better way to handle this?  I still don't understand how TT calculated the lower amount indicated on the bottom of the line 29 worksheet.

Were you able to successfully efile with an override? I read your other post and couldnt tell.  I am having the exact same problem with line 29, although my circumstances are a little different. Turbotax is returning the deduction amount based on the"simplified method" of calculation, which will cost me about $300 more than the iterative method. I went to the trouble of downloading Pub. 974 and doing the iterative method BY HAND and I know my calculation is correct.  I don't really feel like risking  the efile fee if it's not going to work.

So you printed and mailed? Frustrating.

Undergoing the same thing.  TT incorrectly calculated a retired public safety officer deduction and I have to override as it will not let me file with the error.  Spent an HOUR with TT help desk, and although she tried, she couldn't figure it out, and she could see the error herself.  Deeply annoying.
