It could be a variety of things triggering the error. The most likely option is an import error. You may try to delete the 5 1099-Divs that have the error and then reenter them manually. This should populate the dropdown options in Box 8. |
These 1099-DIVs are part of a bigger import consisting of 1099-B, 1099-INT from my Brokerage companies. Would deleting the 1099-DIV cause all the other info that I imported to be deleted? Is there way to correct the info on the Imported Forms to make the information to match, and if so, how? Thank you!

Deleting the 1099-DIV forms should not cause the other imported forms to be deleted. Alternatively, you could just go to the "Wage and Income" Section and navigate to each section of imported information in the investment section and select to edit each form to confirm all of the entries.
