Smart Check Error Indicated but not possible to correct

I'm in the "Review" tab and when I run Smart Check it says I have 1 error. Here's the message:

"Tax Summary: Itemref is marked as estimated. Enter the correct number, then select "Unmark Estimated" from the Edit Menu.."

The form shown is the Tax Summary. I checked every number on the form and there's not one that is marked as estimated. When I continue and run Smart Check again I get the same error.

Is this a known issue and how do I resolve it?

Smart Check Error Indicated but not possible to correct

This is the most reliable fix.

  1. Switch to Forms Mode (Ctrl+2).
  2. In the left panel, scroll to Tax Summary or Tax Summary Worksheet.
  3. Look for any field with a red triangle or blue “E” (estimated).
  4. Right‑click the field → choose Unmark Estimated.
  5. If you don’t see the flag on the visible fields, scroll—some are off‑screen.
  6. Run Smart Check again.

If you can’t find the estimated field:

  1. In Forms Mode, select Tax Summary Worksheet
  2. Select it and once it appears, select delete at the bottom.
  3. TurboTax will regenerate it automatically.
  4. Run Smart Check again.

This clears the stuck flag usually.
