Due to an error code on our e-file, we need to mail the return but only the electronic signature page prints with the return, not a signature page. Is this acceptable?

Sign the paper 1040. 

Page 1 of the 1040 with your name and social security number on it should print. (are you printing both sides? )

Sign and date under Dependents.
