To enter your Form 1095-A -
Or enter 1095-a in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1095-a
When I clicked on to add the 1095-A information it did not bring me to the page to add the market place information whst do I do to add it
Did you receive a Form 1095-A that looks like this - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1095a--2019.pdf
If you enter 1095-a, 1095a, 1095-A or 1095A in the Search box it will take you to the following screen -
To add a 1095-A to TurboTax follow these steps:
In the next screen you will fill in the Marketplace Identifier, Policy Number, and your monthly premiums and payments.
If you received a form 1095-A after you e-filed your return, it is highly likely that the IRS will sent you a letter within a few weeks asking you for form 8962.
You can get TurboTax to create form 8962 if you amend your return. When you re-open your return to amend it, do a Search for 1095-A and jump to it, and enter the data from the form.
NOTE: read the IRS letter carefully. It may say not to amend your return but just send them the 8962. What they mean is "don't send us the amended return (form 1040X plus other forms). just send us the 8962".
You will have to do the amend process in TurboTax in order to generate form 8962; just send the IRS only what they ask for.
You can send the 8962 by going to the Print Center in TurboTax, print this form, and then either faxing or mailing it to wherever the letter specifies. Note that I can't guarantee that faxing is an option, but it has been in the past.
Please see this TurboTax FAQ on how to amend your return. Note that amending 2019 returns may not be ready for a few weeks.
