Sent my amended tax return by UPS on July 14. Will it be accepted?

Deadline is tomorrow (July 15) and my documents will be delivered on Thursday (July 16). Yet I managed to hand it over to my nearest UPS (the private company, not USPS) today (July 14). Will it be accepted?

The date of mailing (postmarked by the post office) is the date of filing, not the date received by the IRS. So, if you mail it before it is due or on the date it is due there will be no penalty for late filing.

Ye,. UPS is okay, and the send date is fine.  Hopefully you used the "private delivery" address though.  See here:  https://www.irs.gov/filing/private-delivery-services-pds
