Hi,
Is it possible to reach out to the TT software developers and ask why the logic will be e-filing my “State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet” to the IRS according to Preview mode. This worksheet does not have “Keep for your Records” at the top. I am using software version TT 2023 Premier Desktop loaded from a CD to a Mac.
There are several posts in TT indicating no worksheets are e-filed to the IRS, so I would like to know if sending my worksheet is correct or not as some further research indicates the IRS might reject an e-file that includes an unexpected form (cannot tell for certain and would like to know if possible before I e-file to avoid any issues).
Thanks much in advance. I appreciate the feed back.

The State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet will not be included in your e-file. I'm not sure what you mean by "preview mode." If you are referring to forms mode, that shows all of the forms and worksheets that TurboTax uses, whether or not they are included in the e-file. If you go the Print Center and select "All official forms required for filing" you will see that the State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet is not included.
Hi,
Thanks for your input.
Re Print Center - Are you using TT on-line on a Windows PC? I am not using TT “on-line”. I’m using the desktop version on a Mac. I do not see Print Center anywhere. Do you know where I might find it?
Re Preview - Mac desktop has the TurboTax menu bar on top left of screen. I choose File. From the File drop down, I choose Preview. I select “Tax return only” for Federal return and I see Form 1040, Schedule A, and the “State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet”.
Re Forms mode – All of my forms are not listed. Schedule 1 is missing. Schedule 1 has 0 on Line 1 and 10. I was told that 0 dollar value forms do not get sent to the IRS, but don’t why it is missing from the Forms list as there are several other forms in the list not being used.
Even though Schedule 1 is missing in the Forms list, I can see it when I click on “Open Form”. I can print it using the Print Active Form option.
Does this help clarify my “situation”?

On the File menu drop-down select Print. I believe that will give you the same window as the Print Center.

Don't select "Tax return only." That's an option under "Forms to review or keep for your records." Above that you should see "All official forms required for filing." Select that. That shows the forms that will actually be filed.
