Are you reporting income and expense within different self-employment activities on Schedule C Profit or Loss From Business?
If so, you may also enter the IRS form 1099-NEC as income into a self-employment activity. Follow these steps:
- Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
- Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages and Income.
- Scroll down to Self-employment. Click Show more.
- Click on Start / Edit / Add to the right of Self-employment income and expenses.
- At the screen Your self-employed work summary, click Add another line of work.
- You will go through several screens to establish your second self-employment activity.
- At the screen Let's enter the income for your work, scroll down to Form 1099-NEC and click Continue.
- Enter the IRS form 1099-NEC information.
