Schedule C Auto Expenses

I have a schedule C business. A client reimbursed me for part of the auto expenses on a trip. The part reimbursed does not cover the full amount allowed by the IRS. How do I claim the expense but subtract the partial reimbursement? Thank you.

Schedule C Auto Expenses

You do not claim the reimbursement as part of the auto expenses.  Instead, you just include the reimbursement as part as your self-employment income. So you will add it to your gross receipts. It does not get accounted for separately.
