Scanning 2020 Turbo Tax .pdf 1040 documents - Will they Import into Turbo Tax 2021

Unfortunately, I experienced a hard drive crash last year and lost my 2020tax file.  Will Turbo Tax 2021 accept .pdf scanned 1040 document(s) from last year?  Or will I need to manually enter the required 2020 information from my hard copy.

mostly no. some basic info will transfer. probably wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to enter that info directly.  you would need last year's xxx.tax2020 file to transfer data. i strongly suggest that in the future you copy the file and the PDF to a thumb drive or some other storage location other than your computer.

Thanks, this is what I expected but wanted to confirm.  I do have all previous years stored in a backup, but unfortunately, I got caught this time.
