Where do I put a Rollover IRA Distribution?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you had a distribution from an IRA, you should have received a form 1099-R. You report the Rollover IRA Distribution by entering the Form 1099-R. If you did not receive a 1099-R I suggest you log in to your account and download/print a copy. If you can't access it online, you should contact the IRA Custodian and ask them to send you a copy.
After you enter the information from the 1099-R showing the IRA distribution, TT will ask you if you rolled it over, converted it to a Roth, and so forth. Depending on your responses, it will put the information in the correct places on your various forms. (It's worked for me, anyway).
