Revisiting issue of Not able to e-file due to simplified AMT foreign tax credit

The big issue last year filing 2020 taxes was that once simplified AMT foreign tax credit was selected it was not possible to e-file the return. This was never an issue in prior years. Was this fixed for this year?

At this time it is not certain that the issue has been resolved or not. I have a user post in the following Turbo Tax thread that elected to use the non-simplified method that did not require any more input  than the simplified method. His/her return was able to be efiled as a result. Try using the non-simplified method to see if this works for you.
