Review says I'm good to go, but I still can't E-file

Turbotax says "E-File is not available because your tax return includes forms that can't be e-filed. Revisit the Review section to see which forms."

When I visit the Review section, I get the notification saying "You're good to go!" and the green seal that says "Ready to file". It says nothing about any documents that can't be e-filed.

I read someone else's similar question, and it was recommended that they clear their browser cache. I've already done this, but I still only get the File by Mail option. This is an issue because my state will not allow me to file electronically completed taxes by mail, so I have to e-file my state taxes.

It depends. I recommend completely signing out of TurboTax, and closing the browser window.

Wait a minute and then open a new incognito Chrome window. Sign back in to TurboTax and proceed with a review for the federal and the state.

Click the link for more instructions for E-filing Problems.

Just to review, here is a list of IRS forms not supported in TurboTax.

Here is a list for federal forms availability and for state forms availability.

Thanks, but this did not help. I even tried it in a different browser and I still get the error. I checked the list of IRS forms not supported, and my documents did not match anything on that list. It still tells me there are no problems, but won't tell me what the problem is.

Sounds like you may need Tech Support (we can't see your return in this forum).

I tried that before posting here, but I'm not sure how to fill out that page. When I click Edit next to the "Your Product" field, it disappears, and no matter what I type into the box under "What do you need help with?", the box turns red and I can't submit anything.

They need to know which product you are using in order to route your call properly.

Click the little down arrow next to Product to choose (screenshot).

Yes, I'm aware of how pulldown tabs work. I'm telling you that's not what I'm seeing in either Chrome or Firefox, which is why I mentioned the "Edit" button in my previous post.

Hopefully your page refreshed/updated.  If not, trying getting to the contact page by clicking the TurboTax hyperlink on this page.

I eventually was able to contact customer support. The representative was very helpful, but we spent an hour on the phone and we still couldn't figure out why it wasn't letting me e-file. It seems to be a software issue. I'll be using a different product to file this year instead of Turbotax.
