I keep trying to e file my state taxes and they keep getting rejected. "ReturnState/ReturnDataState/SchINDEP/INDEPChild/DiedLiteralCd"

 

This is the message I get but don't get any direction on how to fix it. There is a button that says "fix error" or something like that but when I do that, it tells me my errors are "cleared" and to go ahead and e file. I've tried that and it gives me the same message, rejected then that "code" listed in the subject line. I've gone back through manually and checked everything but it still won't go through and still gives me this message with no help to fix it.  My federal taxes were accepted but my state will not go through regardless of what I've tried. I know all my information is correct as I have gone over it MULTIPLE times. I'm getting frustrated at this point. I've never had trouble using Turbotax in the past but it's been maddening trying to figure out what's causing the issue. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated if anybody else has run into this!

We'd love to help you complete your tax return but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?  What state?

 

Is there an issue with a dependent on the return?

This is a new dependent but I triple checked all her information was correct. This is for Indiana. Thank you!

"Let's take a look at your return
Description of error:
Data in the return is missing or invalid. Please double check your entries.
What needs to be done:
There is a program update that will be available on Friday February 9th that will allow you to E-File your return. After you get the update you will have to go back through the state interview screens. Clear any errors and the E-File your return"
 
There is no information missing or incorrect. I even deleted the dependent and readded her, making sure every detail is correct. I get to the end and it says my errors are clear but then keeps rejecting my return. I have no idea what to do as I've tried multiple things to try to resolve it. Should I just redo my taxes entirely? I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

I'm not finding this as a reported issue. You might try deleting your state return and re-entering it.
