Returns that do not have an SSN or EIN for each dependent care provider are not eligible for efile. I don't have any providers. How do I correct this?

The funny part is -- if you choose an unneeded, more expensive plan this issue is not present. LOL I am moving on from Turbo Tax after 20 years, just like I would any company that wants me to pay for broken software...

Oh well, it took a couple hours to complete since prior year's data wasn't available,  but I just e-filed with tax act with no issues at all. I called Turbo Tax and they told me the issue is caused by the IRS. Well, that obviously isn't true. Good Luck all....

Turbo Tax,

When is this going to be resolved?  I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and I have discovered many many bugs through the years.  This one is very annoying as there is no work around.  Also, the original post seems to indicate that the problem is with the Online Edition.  I am experiencing the problem with Turbo Tax Deluxe.  

Please respond with an ETA for resolution.   @TeresaM  - do you have any updates?

It says the issue is solved when you click the article the expert posted; however, this is still happening to me. I have continued to receive this error message.

If the federal forms are all finalized and it is ready to e-file, you can choose to file just the federal return at this time, then come back when your state forms are ready and e-file that return.

1. When you get to the Here are your filing options screen
2. Select Change next to your state return
3. On the Change filing method screen
4. Select I'm not ready to file
5. Click Save

Note, if you don't e-file them together, you do have to wait until the federal is accepted before you can e-file the state. Sometimes this takes a day or even two.
