Return "pending" for over 1 week

We aren't homeowners, aren't filing earned income or additional child tax credits; we filed 1/23 and as of 2/1 our return is still showing as pending. We have never waited longer than a day for acceptance, even when filing "early." Is there a problem? I called in and nobody could assist.
