Requirement to enter any information regarding Roth IRA accounts.

I have not initiated any conversations or contributions in the last several years. I met the five year minimum holding period many years age. Parts II and V of the IRA Information Worksheet both make specific reference to the IRA basis but in working through the Turbo Tax program I fail to see any prompts for information regarding Roth IRA details.  I sense that there may be some future negative ramification for not having entered any Roth IRA specific information.

Roth contribution information is NOT required to be entered into the TT program if you have been keeping your own records yourself ... the IRA  custodian should have issued a form 5498 each tax year that you should have been saving with your IRA information for future reference.

I was asked if I wanted to allow Turbotax to track my Roth, but I can't tell you where it was.  However, it's optional, and you should be keeping your own records anyway.  Based on your facts, as long as you don't make any withdrawals until after age 59-1/2, it will all be moot by then.  If you do make an early withdrawal and the IRS questions it, you're going to need your own records anyway (5498, deposit records); "turbotax told me so" won't be enough because you might have given turbotax bad info.  So you will need your own records in any case.  (Which reminds me I need to make a folder of mine...)
