Everyone's comments provide important context. Thank you.
My TT submissions were rejected three times last year b/c TT provides no guidance on how to deal with the identity PINs. And my first submission for filing 2024 was rejected. TT sends me email saying that when I open the file I'll be told what to do. NOT! The email did say the error code is IND-183-01. But not help there. I'm struggling to figure out how to fix that. Please join me in pressing TT to fix this peristent problem that takes more time to resolve than just filling out the forms. Meanwhile, any suggestions for how to deal with that error code would be helpful. Thanks for your consideration.

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file. Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.
if it's rejecting due to ID Pin log into your IRS account to get your pin for anything you file in calendar year 2025, it changes every year. I had multiple rejections when I filed also because I was using 2024 pin.
