In another thread on this subject, I asked the people on the thread which TurboTax product they were using: Online or desktop?
As I was looking at another token this morning, I noticed that there was an update for Massachusetts, so I downloaded the update, and the refund on the tax return changed by $25, which means that something changed.
So could you do the following:
1. If you are on Online user, just resubmit your return.
2. If you are a desktop user, please update your software (look at the top left for "Online", then "Check for Updates"), and try to e-file again.
Then let me know how it went in this thread...
I'm an online user. The update should have been automatic. My refund amount did change by $50, and then I refiled. It was rejected again with the same error code. So, it still didn't work for me.
I have refreshed and re-submitted with two different browsers: still rejected with the same code.
We would like to take a deeper dive into this message to assist you. In order to do this, it would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2023" file that is experiencing this issue. You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue recently implemented some updates that have affected the forms within TurboTax. Additional time is needed to implement these changes to ensure your return is filed accurately. We anticipate these software updates being available after February 15, 2024. Please log in to your program after this date, and update your software if you are using the desktop product, (for online products, this happens automatically). Proceed through and review your Massachusetts return, and re-transmit your return.

I have received 3 rejections from MA state Non resident with 2 different reasons.
Personal property rental Income as above and the second was MA_ScheduleY_AGI_updates
