Refund Processing Fee

When I first did my taxes, I asked for my refund to be direct deposited.  I entered all of the bank information.  Then I found out it was to cost me a $40 Refund Processing Fee.   I went back and changed my selection to paper check – now I can’t get rid of the $40 fee.  I have tried taking out all of the bank information – that did not work because it requires that I re-enter it.

The 'Ready to file' screen shows Federal E-file $0 and Colorado Ef-file $20.

Next screen asks how I want to pay the Refund Processing Fee.

How can I get rid of this $40 Refund Processing Fee?

The Refund Processing fee is an option for paying your TurboTax fee by deducting it from your federal tax refund. To remove that option, please follow the steps in the link @xmasbaby0 provided.

However, you can still choose to have your tax refund direct deposited. Please see What are the different options for getting my federal (IRS) tax refund?
