Refund not recieved

Hello, I filed my taxes back at the end of February. TurboTax confirmed that they were approved and everything. I received a letter in the mail stating that I owed $20 so I paid my fees on the IRS app and to this day I still have not received an update or anything. I call the IRS and they hang up, I don’t even get to speak with a rep. This is such a huge inconvenience for me and I just need help or advice on what to do..

There is a difference between "accepted" and "approved."   TurboTax cannot "approve" your refund.   Only the IRS can approve it.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
