Refund Advance

I filed my Federal and State Taxes on Feb 3rd, 2020 and neither have been accepted or rejected.  However, I realized that I was never given the option to apply for the Cash Advance and REALLY need the advance at this point in my life.   TurboTax's Refund Advance Product was my main reason for selecting his company as I received one last year and was VERY happy with the process and outcome.  Why was I never prompted to elect this type of refund this year?

Is a Refund Advance even feasible at this point since I already submitted my first return?  Is there any way for me to withdraw or correct my current pending return or must I wait for it to be accepted and then amend?  If I must wait until after IRS accepts and then amend will it delay my advance and/or refund?

Lastly,  I put my TurboTax VISA Card from last tax year as my refund account for this tax year.  If I am approved this year can I use my card from last year or will I have to be mailed a new card?

Refund Advance

Sorry----it is too late after you e-filed to get the refund loan.   You cannot apply for it---it had to be offered to you at the time when you were filing so perhaps you did not qualify for some reason.

Your return is in pending now,,,,you cannot make changes to it in pending.

MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?

Did you e-file?  Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”  If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server.  Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending. If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing.

The IRS will not be accepting/rejecting 2020 returns until Friday, February 12, 2021.  You need to watch your emails for the acceptance/rejection notice that may take until mid-February or later to arrive.   And watch your spam folder too.

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

A state return cannot be accepted until the federal return has been accepted.
