I have 529 plans for all of my grandchildren here in Illinois that I fund each year. TurboTax gives me a place to enter the account numbers and contributions, but I can't seem to find a way to enter more than 10 individual account numbers. I need to enter 20. Suggestions please?

The form , Schedule M, only shows 10 lines and then shows to take the lesser of $10,000 or the total. Enter on those 10 lines the total amount you paid in up to $10,000. You may have met the mark with fewer grandchildren or maybe all 20. If you need to change the contribution amount on a couple of them to make up the missing grandchildren, no problem as you have the actual proof for the amount claimed.
For example of simple:
Grand #1 $5,000
Grand #2 $5,000
Thank you for the suggestion. I realize the issue I am facing originates from the fact that Illinois Schedule M (which is the form I need to use to report contributions to my grandchildren's 529 plans) is itself limited to 10 lines. Since TurboTax picks up and uses that form, it too is limited to 10 lines. In the past, it hasn't been an issue. I have 10 grandchildren and have used all 10 lines. This year, the Illinois Bright Start 529 plan changed managers mid year, and along with that, they issued new account numbers for everyone. They recently sent out a letter reminding us to include both sets of account numbers. Meaning I need 20 lines. Oh well, I am going to move forward. My total contribution is $500 per grandchild ($5000 total) so I will just record the new account numbers. If audited, I will have documentation showing some of the $5000 went in under the old numbers and some went in under the new. Again, thank you!
