Received different refund from expected (state of IL)

Hi, I submitted my taxes at the end of January 2017 and my expected IL state refund was 996.00. Today I received my refund and it was for 78 dollars. Why would this be?

Unfortunately we do not have access as to why you didn't receive what you were originally supposed to receive. There could be numerous reasons such as money owed to the state or federal government. What you need to do is contact the state of Illinois Department of Revenue you can contact them at 800 732-8866 or 217 782-3336.
