I am working with TT Self employed 2021. Trying to correctly enter 1099-s through Investments tab as described in other posts. TT is listing it as 1099-b. I have tried and tried to correct this. This land sale was just a small corner of our property for power company to install underground cable box. Should I just let TT go ahead and list it as 1099-b?

Thx so much for the link you sent. I’ve followed all those instructions and still, after entering all my data about Land Purchase, the 1099 that TT puts it on is a 1099-B, not a 1099-S. There will be no taxes owed on this, so maybe IRS will see that the issuer and the amount of money match, and they will know that it was meant to be a 1099-S. I felt that TT would have fixed this glitch by now, as most of the other filers who experienced this filed by April 15 if this year. We have an extension, and are disappointed that TT hasn’t taken care of it by now.
