Please help as I do not want to make both my federal and state return since I already have to mail my state return due to a form I have. I am getting the following message:
Validation failed: The Intuit Electronic Filing System is having difficulty recognizing the data in the return you are sending. Make sure your TurboTax program is up-to-date. If you still an't transmit your return, go to support for a solution or workaround. In some cases you may need to file the return by mail. - 601ERRV:3, FilingHdr_6 - ?:? - Invalid Agency ID. Received". Must be 2 characters in length.
So I gather its somewhere on my form that has an agency ID that's no correct but there are no errors and I can't locate and agency ID. I tried to contact support but their phones system say they are down. Any support would be great.

I'm having the same issue. I have to file by mail my California return because I have form 568. But when I try to e-file my federal return, I get the "Your Transmission Didn't Go Through" error.
I am getting the same error and I followed your instructions and there are no forms in error - please help me resolve this problem - I have paid extra to efile and the software tells me if this continues to fail I can print the forms and file them by mail - kind of defeats the purpose of buying TurboTax
@campbellmi13 Have you already verified all your forms are available for e-file. You can find this information in the links below:

Please see this TurboTax for transmission error assistance:

I have had the same problem for the past week. I spent time on the phone with support today, and the only answer they could give was to file the return on paper. It doesn't sound like they're planning to fix this bug.
Okay, here's an update. I was experiencing the same problem with not being able to file my federal return with the same error quoted above. I thought that my CA return issue was a separate thing, but now it seems like it's connected. I just created a copy of my tax return with all the CA forms subtracted, and I was able to file my federal return just fine.
The CA issue has to do with Form 568 for the annual LLC fee. It has always been the case (until now) that I could e-file my CA return but had to print and mail Form 568 separately. This year, for the first time I'm being told by Turbotax that due to the presence of Form 568, I can't e-file the CA state return at all. It seems strange that this should change with no notice. Why can't we just print and mail Form 568 separately as in earlier years?
I gave up and mailed in both my federal and CA state return. Would’ve been nice to know before I paid the $130. I don’t think CA form 568 should impact our ability to e-file the federal return.
I’m also shutting down my LLC because I don’t want to pay the $800 extortion tax, I barely use it, and I want to avoid this in the future.
Here is another update; I hope that it will help someone else.
After I un-installed the CA forms and found that I was able to file my federal return, I waited until the federal return was accepted by the IRS. Then I re-added the CA state forms to TurboTax. I re-filled them out. Interestingly, the CA LLC form 568 was not automatically included this time, and I was able to e-file the CA state return. Now I can fill out Form 568 separately and mail it in as usual.
Hi! I'm having the exact same issue with CA Form 568!! How were you able to remove your CA documents to e-file your Fed return?? I've been on the phone all day with TT reps and they say that is not possible. Thanks for any advice- much appreciated!!
@CAtaxpayer, if you would like to remove your state form, please click here for instructions.
Hi CAtaxpayer - I wish I could remember exactly how I deleted the state return, but I was doing a lot of tinkering. I may have done it through the Forms interface, as suggested by the Intuit employee. However, the instructions in their link only refer to the Windows product, which would not have worked for me as a Mac user. To get to Forms, I use the View menu of TT and select the "Go to Forms" menu item. Then under the File menu of TT, I see an option for "Delete California Forms." I can't test this now since I've already e-filed both federal and state at this point, but I think this is what I did.
Thanks, this was the solution for me too. Just be sure to make a copy of the return before you delete you CA tax return so that you can print and file it!
I'm getting error :
601ERRV:3, FilingHdr_6 - ?:? - Invalid Agency ID. Received". Must be 2 characters in length...
I've made sure there are no red exclamation points on the forms page. I have a california 568 form, but I choose to eFile Federal only and still can't submit. I called customer service and they were unable to help so now what do I do? Kind of lame to have to mail in the paperwork considering I paid for TurboTax so I don't have to do this.
wfleming20 - Try removing your California forms from your tax return. (Go to the Forms interface, then look for Remove California Forms in the File menu.) Then, with luck, you should be able to e-file your federal return. Then re-add the California forms by going to the States section of the interview. With more luck, you'll be able to proceed with e-filing your California return without Form 568. You can find a fillable PDF version of Form 568 on the IRS website, download it, fill it out, and send it in by postal mail with your annual LLC payment.
